The
Pharmacists
InfusaCare's pharmacy staff
has more than forty years of pharmaceutical care experience with
more than twenty three years specific to home infusion care. Our
staff focuses on enhancing patient pharmaceutical care by improving
medication compliance and minimizing medication adverse effects.
They have extensive experience and knowledge enabling them to
achieve these goals.
Lee Atkins
Lee graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy
in 1984. He began employment at the University of Mississippi
Medical Center Children's Hospital upon graduation. At UMC he worked
on the patient care units as an I.V. pharmacist responsible for the
administration of all intravenous medications as well as attending
rounds with the Infectious Disease team. He worked on all pediatric
units during his seven years at UMC. In 1991 he began employment
with Pharmacy Corporation of America, a long term care pharmacy,
where he developed a program for providing intravenous medications
to nursing home patients as well as homecare patients. On July
1,1993, he opened InfusaCare, Inc. He has
more than 22 years of
intravenous pharmaceutical care experience.
Lee is the majority owner of InfusaCare, Inc.
Tracy Wimberley
Tracy graduated from the University of Mississippi School of
Pharmacy in 1989. She entered the postgraduate PharmD program later
that year and graduated in 1991. Her practice experience included
the Veterans Affairs Hospital and Pharmacy Corporation of America
prior to joining InfusaCare, Inc. in 1993 as an employee and
shareholder. She has long term care pharmacy experience as well as
16 years of home infusion experience. She
is also certified in veterinary pharmacy compounding.
Kay Sturdivant

Kay graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1976 and began her career at
Grenada County Hospital. After moving to central Mississippi she
continued her practice at other facilities such as Veteran’s
Administration Hospital, Rankin Medical Center & Methodist Rehabilatation Center. With a commitment to lifelong learning, she
pursued her doctorate after 25 years of practice. Kay received her
PharmD from the University of Arkansas in 2004 with special emphasis
on antibiotic therapy and geriatrics. For the last 9 years she has
served as a clinical pharmacist at River Region Medical Center. Some
of her responsibilities included making recommendations for
appropriate antibiotics, medication dosing for the elderly, and
those with impaired organ function. Katy also is a Certified Nursing
Home Consultant. Kay joined the Infusacare family in early 2007.
The Nurses
InfusaCare employs its own team of nurses to provide 98% of the
"hands on" care that our patients require. We seek individuals with
appropriate experience and a desire to excel in their professional
endeavors. To this end we believe we have a staff with unequalled
commitment and dedication to the patients as well as extensive and
varied practice experience and knowledge.
